Alfred Hitchcock actually said something about the Zadar sunset when he visited the city in the 1960s. While filming in nearby areas, he reportedly remarked that the sunset in Zadar was “the most beautiful sunset in the world, more beautiful than the one in Key West, Florida.”

This line became famous, and locals often use it in tourism promotions. Today, Zadar’s Riva (waterfront promenade) is a popular sunset-viewing spot, especially near the Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun installations, where the combination of natural colors and sounds adds to the experience.
